Personal Philosophy

Sustainable social change requires not just awareness, but shifts in beliefs, norms, and behaviors—designed with people, not for them.”

" Human behavior is far more complex than traditional models once assumed. While early behavior change frameworks were built on the premise of rational decision-making, decades of behavioral science research has since revealed a richer, more nuanced reality: people are deeply emotional, socially embedded, and cognitively constrained. They respond to their environments, to those they trust, and to the invisible heuristics that quietly govern their choices — often without realizing it. My work begins by going beneath the surface, drawing on established frameworks — from Fogg's Behavioral Model and Fishbein's Integrative Model to the Transtheoretical and Socio-ecological Models — to map the cognitive, social, and structural forces shaping behavior in any given context.

From that diagnostic foundation, I apply a human-centered design process that puts communities at the center of solution-building. Through ethnographic immersion, participatory research, and iterative co-design with both communities and system stakeholders, I move from deep empathy and problem definition through to prototyping and scaled implementation. This convergent, evidence-driven approach ensures that interventions are not only behaviorally grounded, but genuinely owned by the people they are designed to serve. "
